Community Integration Program

We work help youth who present behavioral difficulties to become safe, appropriate and productive members of society. Youth develop their capability to be successful, first in a highly structured setting and then transitioning these skills into a more normative setting. As part of treatment process we teaching youth appropriate behavior and social skills in the community, so that they may successfully transition to the community.

We balance the importance of community integration with careful consideration of all risks, when making decisions related to off campus access for individual students.
Youth gradually reintegrate into the community as they progress through treatment and demonstrate treatment gains.
We teach youth appropriate behavior and social skills in the community, so that they may successfully transition to the community.

Our Community Integration Plan (CIP) provides standards and guidance for each youth's community access, allowing progressive levels of exposure to the external community and encouraging each youth to master progressive skills before taking on more challenging activities.
The Community Integration Plan is designed to assist youth to gradually reintegrate into the community as they progress through treatment and demonstrate both treatment gains and, for youth treated in the problem sexual behavior track, a reduced risk to sexually re-offend, and for all youth demonstrated increases in levels of self-regulation and pro-social behaviors in significant areas of their lives.
